Overview
In 2012, The Projects Group was hired by One Safe Place to serve as owner's representatives and project managers on the demo and renovation of a new location.
One Safe Place was a renovation project of an existing 3-story tower building and an additional single-story building that is attached via a connector building. The first floor of the tower, connector building, and one-story building was the public portion of the family justice center. They house an auditorium, classrooms, childcare, counseling and interview offices, a retail shop as well as other services provided by the center.
The second and third floor of the tower provide and open and collaborative work-space for numerous partners providing services at the center.
Due to multiple issues, the project was a phase-work plan that started with asbestos abatement and demolition.
