Alfred Walker

Project Executive

Alfred Walker brings over 42 years of experience in facilities management at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, as well as through educational and field experience. He was a member of the project-management team for several multi-million-dollar projects, such as central plant upgrades, major museum gallery renovations in 1999 and 2019, etc. He also managed staff along with outside contractors daily. He brings a wealth of knowledge for art preservation lighting. In 1997, Alfred saw a gap in communication between other cultural institutions, so he decided to collaborate with other facilities managers to create a group called the Museum Facilities Council of Fort Worth, which consists of several museums, event centers, and other cultural institutions. The Museum Facilities Council of Fort Worth is still active today. Alfred also owns a lighting-design and implementation firm, which provides him with a unique understanding of the delicate exhibition-lighting systems used in museums.
